Waipuka whenua update April 2021

On Friday the 9th of April 2021, Ian Allen, Farm Overseer, met with Che O’Dey from NZ Fencer Limited to review the fencing done so far. The group conducted a comprehensive inspection with Hayden Rees Jones from Horizon Farming Ltd. The gorges are nearly completely fenced off. Che is currently hanging gates and finishing flood gates as well as a few other repairs. It is planned that the whole area will be ready for final inspection by the end of this week. The last fencing work on Adele Mohi’s whanau block should be completed by early May. Several culverts will be installed in the next few weeks to secure the place for our tree planters. The weed control work is now showing with all the blackberry dying off.
