On the 5th of March 2021, Osea Batisaresare, owner and operator of Impact Forestry Ltd came to visit the Waipuka Whenua project. Osea originates from Fiji and 15 years ago created a successful company offering services around silviculture work. Osea works for a number of large forestry companies and it was a privilege to have him on Waipuka. Impact Forestry have worked on the Whangawehi restoration project in Mahia previously and have produced excellent results. Osea has 50 experienced tree planters in his team who are extremely effective. They have done a lot of good work around Waimarama and know what to expect in terms of land contour.
